From DUMMY, a film by Greg Pritikin Yo Slut sung by Milla Jovovich backed by BOTANICA

Paul, Oren, David and clarinet virtuoso Tim Otto, (sometimes of Firewater), have recorded some Klezmer and Klezmer inspired tunes for a feature film by Greg Pritikin called "Dummy". The script is hysterical. The cast is great. It's a movie about love, disfunction and ventriloquism. We are also IN the movie and recently completed several days of shooting in scenic and humid central New Jersey. In the ballroom of the Wayne Manor, Milla Jovovich was caught singing tortured yiddish fronting the temporarily christened Botanica Bulgar Ensemble. She is a total firecracker and brought the house down. Actually several of the elderly crowd of wedding extras toppled onto the stage in a riotous display of octogonarian punkiness. Not to be outdone, the sparkling Illeana Douglas came on to sing a beautiful Broadway standard called "My Own Morning" (arranged by yours truly) and peformed by the BBE in its new incarnation as a swing band. On the eve of the final day of shooting, the director called and asked if we could do something by Chicago or Air Supply or some other cheesy 80s schmaltz. After writing something called Yo Slut for Milla, (Fangora in the movie), to sing, the Klezmer songs and a swing tune, I thought it was just a cruel joke to see if we could play every form of pop music known to man, but he wasn't kidding. Fortunately the issue of money and song rights came up and viewers will now be rewarded with Oren and me performing a classic rock wedding march on the lawn. (Wait till you see Oren's wig... ) The cast also includes Adrien Brody, Jared Harris and Jessica Walters, (the psycho from Clint Eastwood's "Play Misty For Me"). "Dummy" is a lot smarter and more fun than its title. Watch for it this year. We'll keep you informed...
